Ms. Mary Kozlowski serves as the Operations Coordinator for the Office of the Director within the Center for Strategic Scientific Initiatives (CSSI) at the National Cancer Institute (NCI). As such, she supports the center in its day to day workings, helping it to run both efficiently and effectively. She also supports various programs within the center, often liaising with other agencies.
A prime example of this support is her involvement with the Applied Proteogenomics Organizational Learning and Outcomes network (APOLLO) – a tri-federal collaboration between NCI, the Department of Defense (DoD), and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) aimed at creating the nation’s first healthcare enterprise where proteomic analysis complements genomic sequencing in cancer patients to inform targeted decision making. As part of her work with APOLLO, she is helping to develop a public-facing infographic that aims to attract more patients to the network.
Ms. Kozlowski has been with NCI for nearly 6 years, the past three of which have been with CSSI. Prior to that, Ms. Kozlowski worked as an Administrative Assistant providing support to the Director of the Center for Cancer Research (CCR). In addition, she spent five years in the private sector doing program coordination and continuing medical education (CME) work for non-profits.
